Do Minor Leaguers Get The Same Bats As Major League Players?
What Is The ProXR knob?
What Is The Puck Knob?

The puck knob is a one-inch extension added to the knob of the baseball bat. The puck knob is designed to counterbalance the weight of the barrel to help snap the bat quicker, adding bat speed and increasing pop and exit velocity from the swing.

What Is Your Pro Pricing

Pro players pay $119/bat.

ProXR knobbed bats are $179 or when you buy 6 or more the price drops to $159.

Our team will reach out to secure payment before production.

Does Dove Tail have a preferred player program?

If you are on a MiLB affiliated team roster (or were during the season) and would like to swing DTB exclusively then you can apply to become one of our Preferred Players and the price drops to a net price of $89.25 with our buy 9 get 3 free Preferred Player program.  (Buy 9 for $119 + 3 free = $89.25 each-and they do not have to be ordered all at one time!)

If I become a Preferred Player do I have to order all 12 bats now?

No!  You can order bats as you need them and once 9 are purchased at $119 each your last 3 will be free (pay shipping only)

Which wood is better Maple or Birch?

Why Maine Birch!

Under MLB regulations if a player wants to swing the full-sized barrel (2 1/2″+), Birch would need to be chosen.  Birch is a wood that has the hardness of maple with a little flexibility causing less breakage. Players are finding these bats perform consistently better than other woods and at DTB our birch is “hand boned” which pre-compresses the wood fibers and makes them game ready right out of the box with no break-in period.

Do you provide samples if I do not know which model or wood type I want?

We offer special 1 or 2 bat sample packs at the low price of $89 each for pro players on a MiLB affiliated roster or who were on an affiliated roster in 2023.  Pro XR knob bats are offered at $149.00 each.

You must order 2 DIFFERENT bats to qualify for this pricing.  They either need to be different models or lengths, to qualify.

This is a great way to try slight variations in your bat to get the exact DTB bat you want to swing prior to placing your order.

What if I have a custom bat that I want you to make for me?

We offer hundreds of bat models and numerous variations of other models.

If you can’t find the combination you want in our selections, you can ship your current bat to us and we have the technology to scan the bat into our computerized CNC lathe and re-produce it for you.

There is a 6 bat min order for this service if you are not a Preferred Player or a $100 setup fee will be charged.

Copy bats will be returned upon request but must be retained until the order is shipped.  And yes, we can copy broken bats.  Here are the shipping addresses to send the bat to be copied, depending on if you ship US Postal Service or UPS.
